We are a group of young people from around the Stockton area. We meet either every second Tuesday or every second Sunday of the month [for full listing of the meetings look at the blog]
Stockton Youth Assembly (previously called X & Why?) meets every month to feedback on subgroups, make decisions, solve problems and discuss future and current projects.
It's a respected youth group for getting young people's views across, its views are taken on board and acted upon where appropriate.
Michael Hollifield is the current Chair voted in by Stockton Youth Assembly Members.
Stockton Youth Assembly can apply for funding for various young people led projects. Projects can be as creative as you are from history to music and dance!
There are two types of meeting.
One is open to the public including Councillors The other meeting is for Stockton Youth Assembly Members, other young people and adult support workers only.
ALL young people are welcome to come along to ALL meetings and ALL young people are welcome to join Stockton Youth Assembly.
This means that you could come to all meetings and have your say on the things that affect your everyday life.
