About Me

Who We Are
The HSL Group is one of the fastest growing companies in Europe.
It is committed to excellence in the supply of design, equipment, crew and technical services to all areas of the professional lighting and sound industry.
With 20 years in the industry, HSL has established itself as a major European supply company.
HSL's team continues to grow and operates from one of the largest warehouse facilities in the UK, with the founders still actively involved in its day-to-day running, offering an extensive pre-production and training area.
HSL is streamlined into three divisions
HSL Rental - HSL Sales & Distribution - HSL Rigging
Each dedicated to a specific area of the industry.
The company is run by an energetic team of individuals, focused on providing the best and most efficient service and technical support.
Accessibility and having the right people onboard to oversee client needs and all elements of the production business is central to HSL's success.
HSL Group Holdings Ltd has supplied the complete lighting, rigging and truss solutions to some of the largest concerts, productions, stage shows and television programmes in the world, some of HSL's past projects include the following:
CREAMFIELDS
HSL supplied lighting and rigging for all 7 live arenas at Creamfields 2006, including the main outdoor stage, plus the large Hospitality area. They also supplied audio to five venues and co-ordinated the main stage sound via ML Executives for event producers Loudsound.
HSL's production team was led by Mike Oates, Howard Dean and Rupert Reynolds, who managed a crew of 12, and the gear also filled 12 artics!
SNOW PATROL
January 2007
Blackburn-based HSL has purchased a 16-way Kinesys automation system, including 15 1-tonne Liftket vari-speed motors, converted to work with the Kinesys kit and Elevation 1+ hoist controllers, which went straight out on the Snow Patrol pre-Xmas UK arena tour.
Lighting designer Dave Sherwin wanted to move some of his trusses, while video director Blue Leach's design was based on having 5 differently shaped moving high resolution video screens (supplied by XL Video) .... So HSL decided it was the right time to buy a system.
Sherwin comments "HSL have been fantastic! They've really looked after us and the crew are top - they are always smiling, the gear flew in and out - and there was a lot of it - and nothing is ever too much trouble for them".
