About Me

My name is Amanda Ownby for those of you who don't know me or just don't recognize me...

And I think all the stuff down there should cover it...

I wouldn't want to repeat myself........

My Interests

I enjoy studying people... People watching is one of my favorite activities. Periodically I'll just go to the mall and watch people... It's quite interesting really. You should try it some time.

I'd like to meet:

Thats my bunny... I made him. He's cute. Don't argue.

Music:

Ahh music... My passion... I like alot of different music. I could name my favorite bands... but that could take all day. So I'll name a few choice ones.........

First we have Mindless Self Indulgence. They put on an freakin awesome show. Then Stone Temple Pilots who I fell in love with the first time I wandered across one of their cassets... and who doesn't love Marilyn Manson. I know alot of people don't but alot do and I am one of them.

We'll leave it at that for now....

Movies:

I've wathced a lot of movies in the past few years and I don't remember very many of them. They must not have been too good...

But some noteworthy movies are : Mirror Mask, The Labrynth, Fear and Loathing, Layer Cake, Lucky Number Sleven, yah I could go on for a while... but I'll spare you.

Television:

Yay TV! Wait... I don't watch all that much TV. But some of my favorite TV shows are... South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Futurama, The Daily Show with John Stewart, (The Tom Green Show), Billy and Mandi...

Books:

I'm not so fond of reading... due to the fact that I have the attention span of a 5 year old most of the time...

But there are a few noteworthy books that I did read in my free time over the years.... One of them would be The Sensuous Child... a book written by a 12 year old back in 1973 about being sensuous....... it was the most entertaining thing me and my friends have ever found. Then theres Suffer the Little Children which is a true crime book about Jessie Cummings. Its a sick and twisted story... but its a good book.

But my FAVORITE book in the whole wide world is..... Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. It's a kids book yes but its funnier than hell to me.... Not to mention I just like the illustrations.

Heroes:

My hero is Mo Willems, the author and Illustrator of all the Pigeon books. He used to do work for Sesame Street but he has since moved on to do his own work. He is also the creator of the Cartoon Network cartoon Sheep in the Big City.---- I love his work. Especially the one book he did called Knuffle Bunny... the story eh... for kids its good but it's not the sarcastic humor found in the Pigeon books.... but the art he did for the book was awesome. He uses black and white photographs and then does his illustrations on them.

So yes somehow... this guy is my hero.

My other hero is Gris Grimly. Love him. Hes got a Tim Burton feel to his art.

I made that. He is the character from one of Gris Grimly's books...
