About Me

Biography: Faux Lament ('fO l&-'ment) was a 4-piece melodic hardcore band from Madison, WI with a positive message and mad-city pride. Once members' previous bands parted ways, everyone congregated together, brought in vast influences and created a new musical outlet. With their heart still in performing music live, the group set out to inspire people to question their surroundings, learn the importance of wisdom and to accept growing with vices. In August 2005, Faux Lament entered the studio with Tim (Die Alone) and recorded their debut 6 song EP titled "In Narrative". Less than a year later, Faux Lament entered the studio in April/May 2006 to record their follow up 7 song EP on Coherent Records titled "Art Intensifies Life", which was released on May 27th, 2006. After a few life changing events, the band took a hiatus after playing a show in Milwaukee on November 19th, 2006. The hiatus is not indefinite, however a reunion is pretty slim at this time. We'll keep you posted if any final show(s) are in the works.
