About Me

Reigning from Calumet, Minnesota, Ryan Leen blends smooth, heartfelt lyrics with a classic and original style in creating his signature, Country/Folk sound. Influenced by the likes of industry artists who include, Keith Whitley, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., James Dupre and Tim McGraw, Ryan uses his music as a means of therapeutic release. As a past hobby has now transcend into a lifetime passion, Ryan Leen illustrates each of his songs with lyrics that are introspective and self-reflective. Ryan is in the production stages of recording his debut, studio LP. Comprised of tracks that include his personal and fan favorite, "Those Big Brown Eyes", Ryan plans to saturate every song with his unique sound and personal experiences. Ryan has spent the past two years refining his voice and carrying a notebook that contains the written beats of his heart. From lost love to new love, and everything in between, Ryan Leen creates music that is relateable and easily interpreted as a raw, outpour of emotion. As Ryan's career continues to forge ahead, he aspires to reach a slew of cross-cultural music lovers who will embrace his Country/Folk sound. Anticipating the release of his first, solo compilation. Influences: IT HAS TAKEN ME SOME TIME TO ADJUST TO SINGLE LIFE AGAIN, BUT IT HAS BROUGHT OUT SOME NEW SONGS. ONE OF WHICH I WROTE RECENTLY CALLED "WHAT'S ON MY MIND". I WILL BE ADDING THAT ONE SOON SO CHECK BACK.MY HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART WOULD ALWAYS TURN THE RADIO DOWN IN THE CAR TO HEAR ME SING. SO I GUESS WHEN WE GOT BACK TOGETHER, SHE IS THE REASON I STARTED RECORDING THE SONGS I WROTE.LIFE IS A GREAT INFLUENCE ON MY WRITING. THE UPS AND DOWNS MAKE FOR SOME GOOD SONGS. LATELY MORE DOWNS THEN UP. I AM LEARNING LIFE AS I GO.THE FIRST SONG I EVER WROTE & RECORDED, "LONG ROAD AHEAD", I LET A FRIEND LISTEN TO IT AND HE WAS THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT SONG. EVER SINCE I HAVE WANTED TO WRITE AND RECORD MORE SONGS. THIS SONG ONLY TOOK ME ABOUT FIFTEEN MINUTES TO WRITE. THE FIRST TIME I SANG IT WAS OVER THE PHONE ON MY PREVIOUS GIRLFRIENDS WORK VOICEMAIL. SHE LOVED THE FACT THAT I EVEN HAD THE GUTS TO DO IT. (ME TOO)THE SONG "WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE WORLD TODAY" WAS CO-WRITTEN WITH MY BROTHER-IN-LAW.MY CRAZY SCREWED UP LIFE HAS BEEN A GREAT INFLUENCE IN MY WRITING. IT'S GETTING BETTER EVERYDAY.Please take the time and read some of the other songs i have written. they are posted in my blog. Thanks
