Sam

Sam (Samuele Silvestroni) is an Italian artist who was born on January 18 1975 in a little country near Ravenna (in the North Eastern part of Italy) He plays guitar from the age of thirteen. Sam was inspired by many great musicians and songwriters such as James Taylor, Neil Young and Jackson Browne. Like these artists, Sam was attracted by blues, west-coast and country rock music. The love for music and, in specific, these kinds of music took Sam to wrote his first songs. The first song was composed at sixteen years old while at the same time Sam understood the big importance that music had (and still has) in his life. The words of his songs tell about freedom, justice, love and the search of truth…the same truth that seems to abandon this world day after day. The most present thing in the Sam’s tracks is the dream.......Since year 2000 Sam is signed by PMS Studio and has produced many album, also co-operates with PMS Studio in function of musician.Actually his new album “Back To My Roots” is available (2007 PMS Studio - Virgin Distribution).
Awards:
- first place at the Indipendent Labels Music Awards in the year 2003 for the category “Best Lyrics” (English-American)
- first place at the Indipendent Labels Music Awards in the year 2005 for the category “Best Arrangements”
- Waiting For... the last production of Sam win the Special Prize of the magazine Sound & Sound for "best folk production - year 2008"
