Bosa Chukwudi Olisemeka Mora was born in Columbus Ohio on March 7th, 1987. His mother and father were born in Nigeria and he has one brother and six sisters. He started playing the piano and singing early on but it was not until his later years that he would learn of his passion to pursue a career in Music. After finishing High School, It was hard to see it as an option because of his family’s reputation of being practical professionals and having a deep respect for the education their work required.“It was pretty hard convincing my parents that music was it for me. At first they rejected the idea…but then they came to support it. I mean who can blame them? With three Ivy league business….international relations students, one engineer, and a doctor ahead of me music did not sound like a very practical choice for me!â€It was through his good fortune and family support that he was given a chance to apply for Music school on the collegiate level. As it turned out, he was granted acceptance to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts, and a scholarship to seal the invitation. It marked a turning point in his life, as he would embark on a journey he had never imagined before.“I had applied to so many schools, many of which I didn’t even want to go, and as God would have it I got into the only one I wanted to apply to in the first place. Go figure! I’m very fortunate.â€
Bosa’s primary goal as an artist is to create music with the ability to move people through their lives. He has always believed that every human being has something that makes them unique but the one thing that connects us all is the ability to feel and respond to emotions.
“I was once told that emotion is the currency of music, and if I cannot make music that can inspire you to smile, sympathize with you when your hurting, or calm you when you worried; my work is of no value.â€His hope is that he will have the opportunity to make a career out of his craft. With such compelling work and promising talent, one can only imagine the impact he could make on the world of music and the many people who give it life.“I want to take people away even if for a moment from the life they live to share in my world. If I am not successful it’s ok because it's a risk I am willing to take. My only hope is that my songs can give the listeners an insight into my life and leave them with something they can bring to their own.â€
