Tom-X was created to satisfy the need and expose the necessity to develop Alternative music in South Africa. Concentrating on counterculture and underground music, Tom-x also covers indie, punk, pop, rock, metal and other cutting edge genre’s. Tom-X is a community of like-minded friends that are interested in REAL music. Sharing opinions on opinions, concert experiences and give criticism for music that this community live for.
For far too long has there been a lack of leadership of new trends in this field. Tom-X is not about to take the leadership but rather nurture these young leaders of today and expose them to all new trends in order to let them make up their own minds. Tom-X encourages participation and dialogue regarding this industry and hopes to fill this gap.
The community of Tom-X is also connected by means of data base profiling. Members can profile themselves to receive information of the things they want and not all the other junk.
Apart from expression, Tom-X will also guarantee the community plenty opportunity to receive free tickets to shows, free gifts and other inside scoops.
Future plans for the Tom-X community will be online ticketing for their favourite bands, MP3’ downloads and street team capabilities.
Tom-X will also play host to other subculture industries in the Arts, Photography and cult cinema.
