About Me

I write historical, vampire, time travel and contemporary romance for Berkley, Kensington, Avon and Ellora's Cave. An editor once told me I was a frustrated historian (since I have a tendency to jump from one time period to another), and I suppose she's right. I love history! Writing is my passion...and I can't imagine doing anything else. My story ideas come from all facets of life, and I love that myspace has opened up my world to so many creative individuals.

Born in California, I now live in Washington state with my family.

Font wars!

Lately I've been judging a few writing contests, and I was surprised that the majority of entries are in Times New Roman.  I've always been a Courier girl, and ...

Reading and book shopping...

The beginning of this year I made a resolution to read more, and I can't tell you the joy it has brought back into my life.  I went from reading maybe one book every two months in 07', to reading...

Alpha or beta?

I've always been a fan of the alpha male.  I love his confidence, his arrogance (to a point), and his ability to go after what he wants, when he wants, and not worry about what anyone thinks ...

Where do your ideas come from?

One question I'm often asked is where my story ideas come from.  I always tend to pause before I answer, because every book is different for me.  I'm a visual person, so it's only natu...
