In July 2002 I retired from the LAPD after serving 32 years. Since then I have enjoyed traveling in my motorhome. My wife (Jean) and I have traveled numerous times from our home in California to Milwaukee and back. We have seen a lot of the country and have done a great deal of sightseeing. Three years ago we bought a lot in Montgomery, Texas and had planned on building a home there. The lot is in a gated community called Crown Ranch. Our plan was to sell our house here in Yucaipa last year and move. However, the housing market has fallen so much it will not be possible to make the move at this time. Hopefully, next year will be better. I'm getting tired of the crowds and traffic conjestion around Southern California.I worked part-time as a background investigator for the City of Los Angeles since January 2005. Last November I accepted a full-time position as a background investigator. It's very rewarding when a police or firefighter candidate that I've completed the background on gets appointed by the City.
