About Me

Welcome to the SCP youth MySpace. In here you will find the latest information about us, our activities, and more. Sport Club Português is one of the oldest Portuguese associations in the United States of America, founded in 1921. Over the last few years, our club has been innovative in getting the youth of our communities involved in our various activities. With great dedication, our Juventude (Youth) group has been organizing activities with great success. Thanks to the activities organized by this group, the club now enjoys the involvement of a large percentage of young Luso-Americans. In 1999 SCP made into the history books without even knowing. A new division of the club Juventude was started, a couple Portuguese kids from Rutgers Newark and NJIT had a vision of a Portuguese club no run by a bunch of old Portuguese men however a club with progressive thinking and Pioneers in the Luso American culture. 10 years later SCP Juventude is one of the largest youth groups and celebrating yes existence.

Come out and join us in a beautiful milestone of SCP Juventude 10 year Anniversary. A diverse club with Portuguese Luso American youth from all over the world. It’s beautiful to see what we have become.
