About Me

Daisy Tormé is the multifaceted performer daughter of jazz legend Mel Tormé and British actress Janette Scott. Whether acting, singing, doing voice overs, looping, or taking you on a musical journey on her radio shows, Daisy’s ever active in the entertainment world. From early on, Daisy felt destined to be a part of the family business, just as everyone from brothers to great-grandparents had. Her professional career started at the tender age of eight when she sang alongside her famous dad in the TV special, “The Christmas Songs”. A couple of years later, her mother remarried, and she moved across the Atlantic with her and brother James to live in England. Under the guidance of wonderful teachers including Dennis Wicks of the English National Opera Company, and her own grandmother actress Dame Thora Hird, Daisy continued to nurture her one true love, performing. The work paid off in a two-year residency and leading roles with the New Sussex Opera Company during her junior and senior years at Benenden, and a gold medal with honors for acting from the Royal Academy of Drama.
After high school, Daisy headed back to the U.S. to spend what she calls her favorite years at UCLA, graduating with a BA in English. She’s a self-admitted sports junkie, and worked with UCLA’s Athletic Development Program, was an NCAA Basketball volunteer for three years, and after school, worked for Broadband Sports for two years.
Daisy’s post-college performing career was actually kicked-off at the Ralph’s supermarket chain where she recorded in-store specials that were broadcast throughout the store on a daily basis. Since she also had a talent for imitating voices, she easily garnered voice-matching and improv skills which led to looping projects that widened her experience behind the microphone, leading to her job as a radio personality on the Fabulous 690. Outside of work, Daisy is involved in volunteering time with The Wellness Community, the Southern California Stroke Association, and the Amanda Foundation.
Her film, television, stage, radio, PBS hosting, voice over and animation work have garnered her a solid base in the entertainment industry, and you never know just where she might be starring next.
