About Me
The D.C. Gospel News Update is the only one of its kind in the Washington, D.C. area. Seeing the need for a local e-zine about Christian music in the local D.C. area, in 2004, The D.C. Gospel News Update was created. It informs the Washington, D.C./Baltimore, Maryland area about Christian music happenings in its weekly e-zine. E-blasted to thousands of subscribers every week, it contains information and interviews about the hottest and most influential gospel artists in the genre.
Highlighting local artists as well as national artists, the D.C. Gospel News Update has featured well-known and up-and-coming artists. Previous D.C. Gospel News Update newsletters have contained interviews with Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Daryl Coley, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Byron Cage, and many other gospel favorites. If you're looking for upcoming local conferences, gospel music auditions, gospel plays and live recordings, you'll find it in the D.C. Gospel News Update. We'll even let you know when major artists are coming to town.
In January 2006, the DCGospelNewsUpdate.com was created as a complement to the weekly newsletter. In addition to the e-zine, DCGospelNewsUpdate.com keeps readers informed with the most up-to-date information about happenings in Christian music in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore, MD area and around the country. It, too, garners thousands of hits per month and is updated daily.
