About Me

PLEASE READ THE BLOG FOR THE FULL INFORMATION OF THE TWO APPAULING BRISBANE SHOWS ON THE 13TH & 14TH APRIL 2007.People before you start going off the handle and defending the Chili Peppers I want you to understand this is a peaceful yet pissed off protest. Before you start sending me hate mail I want you to have a look at your own concert experiences and if the Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert was one of the first you have been to then you probably think "Chili Peppers were great!" because you have nothing to compare it to, but its not like that for 95% of people I have already contacted. I and most people expect at very least a solid 2 hour set, if not more and regardless of how many times they have played in the city we expect at least a couple of the crowd favourite songs and not 55 minutes of shit that was made up on the spot aka. jamming. Which the Peppers did in between EVERY song and for 11 minutes before Mr. Kiedis even presented himself on the stage.22,000 tickets were sold at an average of $140 per ticket for the 2 concerts in Brisbane on the 13th and 14th of April 2007 at the Brisbane Entertainment Center, which when you do the math turns into approximately $3,000,000 for the 2 shows not including merchandise. I assume that some of the ticket sales money would go to the venue, insurance, staffing etc. but I would bet my right tit that the Chili’s made at least $1,000,000 for each night.I want you people to really think, 'Did the Chili's give us a million dollar show?' Hardly! Personally I don’t think they gave us a quarter of that with both shows combined. And I am not the only one.To cut to the chase, Red Hot Chili Pepper tickets were far too expensive to begin with and for the highly unprofessional and disorganized show that was given for our $140 it is becoming extraordinarily clear that the Chili's are trying to capitalize at the fans expense with next to nothing in return.
