It was there where he learned of his family heritage and embraced himself as an African. Because of a bloody 14 year old Civil War where a lot of his friends and family were executed, including both of his grandfathers, he was evacuated to America with help from the U.S. Armed forces at age 12. It was at this same age, residing in Philadelphia, he learned the hip hop culture he so admired in Africa. He began to write with no hopes of getting signed, but when others listened they would notice a certain distinction in his lyrics, thus where the name Jay Supreme came from. Being just an artist is not Supreme, so Jay Supreme began his quest to learn almost every trade he could associated with Hip Hop. He learned how to engineer in the studio, he learned how to produce, how to direct videos, how to DJ, he went to school for Graphic Designing, and much much more. Jay Supreme has released the Supremacy The Mixtape Pt. I, Supremacy The Mixtape pt. II and is due to release Supremacy The Mixtape pt. III this winter followed by the Supremacy Album.
