Born & raised in St. Louis, Missouri, B.H.B. stands out as one of the most talented producers of his time. Making beats since a freshman in high school up to now (6 years in the making), B.H.B. has learned many aspects of beatmaking from versatility (Westcoast Style, Crunk, Eastcoast, Rave/Dance/Acid (yeah he makes those types of beats as well), etc.) to sampling, even though 90% of his material is made without samples.
B.H.B. has been making beats for 6 years ever since a freshman in high school. His first inspiration for making beats was a website in which there were recreations of video game music (www.vgmusic.com) in MIDI format. He eventually found out about the software that they used to recreate these video game tunes which WAS NOT FL Studio at the time (even though that would eventually be B.H.B.'s core software for beats), some other stuff he was working with called MAGIX.
B.H.B.'s second inspiration was him hearing about my older brother in a local rap group and trying to find beats to rap over. He was working with that MAGIX software at the time and wanted to save him some cash from buying beats from other producers. This group did the usual work from recording verses non-stop to promoting their music. However the leader of the group was having some personal problems and did not only abandon the group, but had left the city as well. Despite all this, B.H.B. still taught himself to make beats (now using FL Studio) while his older brother kept on track of his career in acting as he was doing while he was in this group.
There is no possble reason for B.H.B. to sell any artist a half-ass track, for he has studied, and gained more inspiration as a result from the greats on the MPC such as Just Blaze, Kanye West, Lil' Jon, DJ Paul & Juicy J, Dr. Dre, Scott Storch, Mannie Fresh Swizz Beatz, Organized Noize, Basement Beats, DJ Premier, and The Neptunes.
B.H.B. grew up on listening to Westcoast music produced by Dr. Dre (Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, etc.) and Eastcoast music (Biggie, Wu-Tang, Nas, Big Pun, Ruff Ryder etc.) that was produced by DJ Premier, Just Blaze, Swizz Beatz, etc., along with coming up on southern music such as the Miami Booty Bass scene (Luke Campbell, 2 Live Crew, 69 Boyz, etc.) New Orleans music such as No Limit Music and Cash Money music, and last but not least, Nelly, who put STL on the map to begin with. Basically, he is inspired by music that makes a dance floor a DANCE FLOOR and not a HANGOUT SPOT.
He also has respect for the new-school producers in the game such as Cool & Dre, The Runnerz, Akon, Nitti, Kane Beatz (produced "Tuck Ya Ice" by Trick Daddy), Trackboyz, Trackstars, Shawty Redd, DJ Toomp, etc. and best believe YOU WILL see this STL thoroughbred amongst the ranks of them sooner or later.
