Bio: THE ENDING UP is a band that has seen many changes through the years. Since its conception in the summer of 2000 by brothers Nate (guitars) and Dave (vocals) Van Horn, the band has had its fair share of turn-over. However, after witnessing five drummers and a bassist calling it quits, the band has still managed to retain the original two members and now believes they have found an excellent combination with bassist Daniel Tenney and drummer Dave Rourke.
Up to 2005 THE ENDING UP was, in essence a side project for the members, due to work, school, and families, and they took a more passive approach to the music industry. As such, the group limited themselves to playing shows in various venues throughout Indiana and Ohio, but most members agreed that if given the opportunity, they would consider playing full time.
After connecting with producer C.R. Pendleton (who has done work with bands such as John Reuben, Matt Theissen of Relient K, Inhale Exhale, Spoken, House of Heroes, Jeff Anderson, and The Katinas) the band started to work on their first professionally recorded EP. The E.P. was released in October of 2006, and further work has recently been finished on the full-length album, available now.
The band has played over eighty shows since October of 2006, and will be playing spot-dates for the rest of the year. Dates are currently being booked for "Up is the New Down", a March, 2008 tour of the east coast that the band is headlining. Hope to see you there!
With catchy riffs, strong vocals, and high energy performances, THE ENDING UP is a band that loves to play live, and is looking forward to meeting you this year!
