Barbara Snow - trumpet/flugel, vocalist, composer - trained at the Royal Academy of Music before going on to record, tour and perform with numerous bands: Style Council, Manic Street Preachers, Jools Holland, Fairground Attraction, David Gilmour, Maxi Priest, Smiley Culture, Blow Monkeys, James Taylor Quartet, Carmel, Terence Trent D'arby, Chevalier Brothers, Roberto Pla, Quireboys, Spiritualized.Barbara formed her own latin jazz group Que Barbara, performing her original compositions in various latin styles alongside Brazilian and salsa classics. Original compositions from Que Barbara have found their way on to American tv (Young and Restless features the track Snowdrift) and film. (Vicious Circles uses the track Chanson)She is also a vocalist and joint composer for the Awa Band with Kay Samuel. Hits include Timba and Tudo Lindo. A later Awa composition Baba Batteur features Tony Allen, famed Fela Kuti drummer. From the same producers - Hustlers Convention - featuring vocals from Barbara, came another hit Mas Que Mancada.
