CJ The Genesis (Download Mixtape NOW!!!)

Hello people! They call me Christian, Genesis, CJ The Genesis, whatever, but I'm gonna hit you with some quick background knowledge about ME! First of all, I was born and raised in Maryland and lived in PG for a little bit. I was a military child so I moved a WHOLE lot, but I never left Maryland "resident-wise." Ok blah blah blah, bullsh*t and more bullsh*t, but my interests in music ACTUALLY began in the womb! My mom would tell me how when a song came on while she was pregnant with me, I would kick and move around in her belly a lot. After all that and I was born, I liked playing on pianos and freakin Mattel Keyboards lol. My FIRST major influence for the music had to be my cousin JJ also known as, BlackBerry Jones. He used to always talk about music and he had his own studio for the longest, but I was too young to do much with it. Also, my cousin Jovan who was always telling me about different conscious rappers so I started listening to them when I was younger and I still do. I had always been watching that show Pop-Up Video on VH1 and Yo! MTV Raps and what not, so I always loved it. I was in choir in elementary school, and also took up the saxophone. I also used to write poetry a lot in 3rd grade and I picked up freestyling quickly and effectively around the 5th grade when I moved to Waldorf. I was pretty good for my age, as I was told and went from there. I used to write to instrumental CDs, but I had no direction at all, I mean seriously. More bullsh*t about middle school and whatever, but to the point, me and my friend Kyrece now known as, "G-Tactics" and my cousin Shawn, used to talk about making a rap group like in 6th or 7th Grade. We never did anything with it but talk bullshit. However, in 8th grade, my cousin Tray was living in my house, and he rapped as well. I was still pretty shy about the whole thing, but unlike me, he wasn't. While he was up here we had found a tape recorder, and he had beats from the internet, so we did this lil ghetto set-up with a CD, tape recorder, microphone, and a Karaoke Machine lol. After a while, I got over the shyness, and me and him would go in the basement and freestyle over beats, and we ACTUALLY made an entire freestyle tape! (I wish I could find it now so I can lmao) But, after that I was still a little shy about it, but I freestyle battled people for money. I NEVER LOST, ask anyone, so I kinda started off as a battle rapper. When I was in high school, I was still a quiet kid, who only freestyled or rapped around his friends. In 10th grade, Kyrece found a way to record and so me, him, and another friend of ours, Drew now known as "Jonny Jonez" started a group. We had low budget equipment, and put out a bootleg mixtape called, "The Filosophy Mixtape Vol. 1." At that point, we thought it was the shit, but now, I realize that that shit was straight ass except for a select few songs. Anyway, we got in a few conflicts with other local rappers, but all in all, it SEEMED like everything was going fine. During the summer of '07, we all started to do solo songs and what not, so we can build our own name so when we worked on our next project, people would know who we were. In about April, I came out with my first song which was this HORRIBLE SONG that I WILL NO LONGER SPEAK OF that kinda gave me a bad first impression no matter HOW funny it was. IT WASN'T! Anyway, in about November, we started working on our 2nd mixtape which was part 2 to the first one. The songs were TIGHT and it was all going good until one day, we split up, seriously. No homo for the assholes out there. From then, we started working on our own shit, which leads me to now. You can watch my story unfold from here on this page, and in real life.
