______GANISTER plays rock'n'roll from the 1970's. Hurriganes and Dr.Feelgood are the most often covered bands in our set list.
I'm Movin On, the opening track of our CD, is a rare Hurriganes song previously heard exclusively in the Hot Wheels movie (finally available on DVD) from 1976. The legendary guitar player Ile Kallio played on the original version. We asked him to write the sleeve notes, translated here in English:
“I’m Movin’ On. Well, what a question. Obviously, we wrote the song for the Hot Wheels movie, where a fast rocker like that was needed. As far as I can remember, the song was written during a sound check. Reel-to-reel recording equipment was carried around to the gigs at the time. Why the song is so short, or why we never took it any further, I can’t really tell.†– Ile
