About Me

Well then world its story time, if you sitting comfortably i will begin... Charles Henry Richmond (Don't Ask About The Middle Name) born 23rd January 1982 in the Newcastle General Hospital. Son of Charlie & Lynne and soon to be big brother to my sister Denise. Lived in Fenham until i was 3yrs old, then moved to my current residence which is a small village just outside of Darras Hall, its called Kenton Bar (3 mile outside). Attended St Cuthberts primary school for 6yrs being told off by every teacher for talking or telling jokes in the classroom. At the age of 11 it was time to move to big school and grow some balls. Well i went to High School but the balls came later. During my time spent at high school i stayed in a middle level class from the start to the finish. it wasn't till sixth form that i found my brain could be used for more than making peolpe laugh. Growing up as a teenager was great fun for me. Most of my closest friends are about 3yrs older than me so, when they were going to town drinking under age, i would go with them. I remember the first time i ever went out in town, i was 13 yrs old. It was our friends 16th birthday and we went for an indian meal on dene street. Afterwards Cebba my big cousin decided to take us all up to Dobsons Bar for a pint. I was 13yrs old and strolled in. Probably because i was taller and bigger than the other lads. So from the age of about 15 onwards Monday nights in the town were a big thing. During my first yr in sixth form both St Cuthberts High School & Sacred Heart High School joined together to perform a end of year musical. The Stage was set, the musical was Oliver, i was the infamous Mr Bumble (what a twat i felt). The show was a sell out success of course, but this feeling of satisfaction through entertaining an audience grew stronger & stronger. It could mean only one thing!! I wanted to be an Actor. I left sixth form after 1yr and enroled at College on a 2yr National Dipolma course in Performing Arts. This confirmed that i had made the right decision. I loved every minute of it. Next was the HND Musical Theatre Course which again was 2yrs but i only lasted one, as i landed one of my first payed performnce jobs. I worked for a company called NE3 and sang in a cabaret group called 'The Dream Machine'. This was also a very satisfying job but it only lasted until i started university in september. I studied a BA in Perfomind Arts at Sunderland University and graduted with a 2-1. Not bad considering i was classed as a Joker and a waste of space throughout most of my schooling years. Once university was out the way i now had enough training to put into practice. I had several proffessional credits to my name including "Purely Belter, No Place and the Dream Machine". It was now time to find an agent!!! I came into contact with Sam Claypole through a good friend of mine Norman Mcfadyan whom was also an actor on her books. Sam took me .. an appalling singing audition (Ha Ha) and began to reprsent me as a professional Actor. Over the past 3yrs since leaving university and finding an agent, i have totted up the credits including, Films, Television, Commercials etc. Entertaining people in which ever form brings me great enjoyment. Which brings me to my current job... Being an Actor might sound all glamourous but believe me its not. You spend most of your time sitting around waiting for the phone to ring between jobs. So i decided to use another hobby of mine to create an income, DJ'ing. I began my DJ'ing career in spain 'Majorca' thanks to my Cousin and Bro Bazza back in 2001. i was working as a barman in the same bar he DJ'd. As the summer was about to begin Baz was offered another bar up the road called Lennons for more money. He asked me if i would like to DJ the office where we were currently working and that he'd sort me out with all of the tunes i'd need, and of course i said yes. That summer was one of the best experiences of my life so far, and as soon as we both got back in September we got Jobs in Newcastle as DJ's. 6yrs later i own my own DJ agency supplying over 30 lads to several venues across the North East. So here i am today working hard as always to entertain people in a variety of ways. The acting work comes along when it does, but the DJ company means i don't have to rely upon it.
