I have been doing this DJ thing for a long time. Way before it was the cool thing to do. I have always loved music. Lots of my family members are really good singers, but never did too much with it. I was the one to break the mold. The black sheep of the family. I started DJing in 1992, when Hip-Hop started taking over the mainstream. I was the only DJ in my area, so I got lots of gigs. House party and VFW’s mostly. Those were the days. Then about 1994 the Rave scene toke Baltimore by storm. This is when I really started to step up my game. Also now with a degree in Mass Communications and another in Audio Engineering, I fell in love with a girl and her name was Drum-N-Bass. I remember the first time Diesel Boy ever came to Baltimore. It blow my mind. The next day I started playing Drum-N-Bass. No joke. Got some big gigs doing that. Opened for Phantom 45, Diesel Boy, J-Smooth, Reid Speed, and a couple other big name DJ’s. Then drugs came into the scene. It seemed like that was more why people started going out instead of to dance to good music. So I got out when it got bad. Like I said, I have a strong love for music. I couldn’t sit around and watch her get treated like that. So in 1999 I went back to my roots. Battle style DJing, the raw art of turntableism, won a couple of Guitar Center DJ battles. You can check out one of the battles on my profile. Also around this time I was Djing for a bunch of bands. Ballyhoo would have to be the biggest. I played The 2001 HFStival with them and we opened for Afroman. Then in 2002 good underground Hip-Hop started coming out. So that’s what I started spinning. Had a couple of college and internet radio shows. Hosted a lot of open mic contests around that time. That was mad fun. Got crazy a couple times. In 2003 I help form my own group KONCRETE-K. I do vocals, lots of the DJ work on the albums, and for the new album, most of the production. You can check out KONCRETE-K on my top 8. 2006 I started doing the club DJ thing. Mostly in Baltimore and Harford County, but I have been playing in VA, and PA. a lot lately. I also travel about once a month DJing and doing Audio/Video Production for a Baltimore based company. I have been all over North America doing that gig. Witch I guess brings us up to now. 2009. I now do it all. DJing and doing Audio/Video production is job, my life, and my love. For a High School drop-out I would say I am doing pretty Fing well. If you read this whole thing then you were bored, but I still think YOU ROCK!!!
