Hey cats! For those of you who don't know us, MONKIBLOOD formed in a shack on the misty slopes of Mt Tamborine in 2003 and named ourselves after a colourful colloquialism for red wine and a juvenile fondness for climbing trees.
Once described as “an intense aerobics class”, we deliver our shows with contagious energy and positive thought, encouraging people to be free of society’s constraints and status.
Based between Brisbane and the Gold coast, we have gigged the best of both worlds and beyond. We’ve toured Eastern Australia and have had the honour of supporting some awesome interstate & international bands such as Royal Crown Revue (US), Mad Caddies (US), COG, TISM, Spiderbait, Marcia Hines and Citizen Dog, and not forgetting the endless number of great local acts.
Self managed and self funded, MONKIBLOOD to us is an affirmative expression of life and wellbeing. This is our music’s message.
