Located in Malta, Owen Jay is a first and one of the few deep house Djs on the island. He has been djing for circa 15 years and on a weekly basis he is djing at different bars, clubs and events. Besides the numerous gigs overseas he has performed at the legendary club Tresor/ Berlin, Supperclub/ Amsterdam, Stereo Sushi/Antwerp & Plastic People/ London.
Between 1996-1999 Owen Jay used to form part of Sonic Mecca, a reputable underground techno collective which featured guest artists such as Surgeon, D. Wynn, Claude Young, Richie Hawtin, Jay Denham, Rob Acid and many more.
In 2001-2005, he formed part of the House of Misfits organisation where guest djs included Mike Grant, Boo Williams, Charles Webster, Matt Pond (Bittersuite), Frankie Valentine, Daniel Wang, Todd Sines etc
Currently he is part of Espionage, is a resident dj at Sunset Sundays, Del Capo, Surfside, Juuls and other event taking place on a monthly basis. He also spends ample time in the studio, working on tracks for his own label Batti Batti, lauched on 15th June 09. Tracks are available for download at www.inndigital.com
