Lucky Nguyen started as a bedroom Dj in 1996 mixing Freestyle (Stevie B, MG, TKA, Timmy T, Cover Girls, Debbie Deb) with Gemini Belt Drive turntables... who spun at various house parties and get togethers, building up the reputation and skills... Eventually, he started picking up more gigs and throwing bigger house parties & "Backyard Boogies" that would last all the way till the sun came up. Added in a little bit of R&B and Hip Hop... Lucky took about 3 years off from mixing but is back more motivated than ever!Reputation & skills quickly spread through word of mouth which helped us get recognized in the San Jose area. Through our mobile dj gigs (as Chillmode Squad and the Alliance Djs ), we eventually had promoters who were interested in hiring my partners (Dj Kleen & Dj ExRated) and I as club dj's for their events. Since day one, our dedication to bringing professional quality dj services is still our number one priority.
Lucky formerly spun under the alias Dj Finesse, but realized there was already a DJ Finesse and decided to give up on making up another Dj name... With Freestyle and dance music @ a standstill, Lucky decided to explore a new genre of music, known as Trance. Back in 1999, trance was not mainstream and was considered "underground" music. Lucky spun for a couple underground parties to establish his name as one of the upcoming trance Dj's of the Bay. As a matter of fact, Lucky spun with Dj Dyloot (skillsdjworkshop.com) @ Club VENUE before he had dreads! Lucky performed at a couple Electronic Music Festivals, including FREAKFEST @ the Santa Clara Fairgrounds, Coolworld's CYBERFEST & Brainchild's SURVIVAL party. Lucky hooked up with Brainchild Entertainment in 1999 and achieved Resident DJ Positions, along with Andrew M.D. from AddictedSF (formerly Dj Drew)... @ TRANSITION @ Club 369 in San Jose, VENUE @ the Cactus Club in San Jose, ORGY @ Space 550 in San Francisco, PORNOSTAR @ the Backbeat in Sunnyvale, TABU @ Backbeat & Sno-Drift, RELEASE @ 1015 Folsolm in San Francisco & SPUNDAE @ 1015 Folsolm in San Francisco.Brainchild Entertainment's end brought forth the hard workers behind the crew to move ahead with the Chillmode Squad & the Alliance Dj's. With Trance music losing it's popularity in San Jose & the Bay Area, we've been working hard on bringing Hip Hop & Rap back to life. You can pretty much catch myself or one of our DJ's spinning your favorite tracks every weekend in the San Francisco / San Jose Bay Area.Lucky has helped turn ORGY @ Space 550 from a Monthly party to a weekly party... Maybe you've heard about it... We also brought Brainchild's ORGY party to Las Vegas and hosted Club Ra in Las Vegas.
