Welcome to the Cumberland Village Works… a vision, a beginning and a vehicle for the burgeoning and bursting cultural community of the Village of Cumberland.Last September we invited 2000 people to our 'front yard' for a wonderful celebration of music, culture and community. It would appear that this was only a beginning.The Village of Cumberland is in a state of social, political, cultural and economic transformation. We are on the edge of the Comox Valley, the edge of culture and the edge of time in a rapidly and dramatically changing world. The Village Works, and their friends the Holy Chicken Performing Arts Society, are a collective of businesses, artists, musicians, organizers, families and individuals who are working together to shape Cumberland's future to help ensure that it reflects the values of diversity, social justice, environmental protection, freedom of expression and community.We invite you to join us…
