Dap was born in Martinez CA, and brought quickly to where he was raised in Central Richmond CA. 6th St. was, is, and always will be his home. He started rappin when he was 11 years old. When he was 16, he recorded in a studio for the first time. At 18, he and 5 childhood friends (Al West, Hustle Simmons, Flii Stylz, Harold "Ace" Mason, & Maurice "Mo" Thomas- R.I.P.) formed a group called the "BroHydes". What started out as 6 "BroHydes" is now 10. And the group is more powerful than ever - With such talents as Erase- E, Phats, Ez- Up, & Kleck added.

New Release On 3sixty5 Records, “West Bound”, By Mikey Mo “The Mc”, Abyss, & Dap Daniel, In Stores August 29th, 2006New release on 3sixty5 Records titled West Bound will be in stores on August 29th, 2006. Inspired by The West Bound Tour of 2005, Mikey Mo "The MC", Abyss, & Dap Daniel got together to record one of the hottest Hip Hop albums to come out of The Bay Area. West Bound delivers that raw Hip Hop straight from the West Coast with an East Bay mentality! Each MC brings their own style to the album while complementing one another on the mic. The production work by Abyss & Dap Daniel on the album is incomparable, with bangin’ beats from beginning to end. DJ Daeta (Jimi Handtrix) is featured on two tracks cutting it up. Dap Daniel is a Bay Area native raised in Central Richmond in one of the most notorious hoods in Northern Cali, known as 6th Street. Dap Daniel has been making noise in The Bay Area since 1990 with his crew the BroHydes. With numerous underground joints already under his belt Dap Daniel’s most recent major work was in 2005, where he wrote and recorded three songs for the Lion’s Gate motion picture and soundtrack, titled RIZE. The soundtrack available through EMI boasts a heavyweight lineup consisting of Dap Daniel, Flii Stylz, and Christina Aguilera just to name a few. Currently Dap Daniel is finishing up his latest mixtape, “Storm Watch vol. 1”, which features his crew the Gylatean, Mikey Mo “The MC”, Lady Lust, and more. Dap Daniel is also in the process of recording his debut solo album titled, Rawdiculous, which will be released in 2007.It’s been a long time since The Bay Area got their recognition and respect. West Bound is guaranteed to help put the West Coast back on the map and The Bay Area in the light where they rightfully belong.
