Enjoying heavy music and going to shows that are harder than a chick would be expected to like -- that's what this little girl is made of. I've gone through various genres of music and different phases of my life, but nothing really pumps me up more than metal/rock. There's this vibe and energy at the concerts unlike any other one out there. Fans are brutal and of all different types of people, but united for one thing -- to enjoy this style of music.
The point of my myspace is, of course, to share the experiences of a crazy girl who is addicted to shows. I will travel across the country to see them. As a matter of fact I've been to California, Virginia, and Arkansas just for those few hours of a concert. It's my goal to attend one show in every state (and yes...that INCLUDES Hawaii and Alaska, dude.) And every blog I write, I want to capture my experience in a jar and pour it out for the readers -- hoping to convince them to go check out these bands, of course!
Any local band playing in the Poughkeepsie area -- definitely give me a shout. I'd LOVE to check you out and give you my feedback. I also love talking music with just about everyone...and especially love meeting musicians behind the guitars, bass, drums, and vocals.
Sadly, I don't have speakers right now, so I can't listen to anything on the computer...but soon I should get a new one!
Shows I've attended in 2008

Krissy's Blogs get a little less bloggy...

...and a little more video-y? I am going to attempt to bring you a more visual and audio sort of coverage of local bands from this point onward. It requires a stealthy sneak of my camera in -- and a b...

House of Blues -- 12/12/08 (Part 2)

Sevenfold -- seventh time. There I was, no hope of getting a good spot, but managing to wedge myself into a decent view point...or at least it would have been if it weren't for this stupid fail pole i...

House of Blues -- 12/12/08 (a little late, yes) -- part 1.

Atlantic City, NJ. The most beautiful city I have honestly seen to date. This was the back drop of my seventh Avenged Sevenfold concert. The House of Blues was tucked away inside the warmth of a casin...

Time to get serious for a moment.

I know I said that I wouldn't be back until the end of semester with my blogging -- but this isn't music related. This is our country related. More specifically, Obama related. I am not ashamed to adm...

Where are the blogs???

I'm sorry to all those that I promised either reviews of their music or to those bands whose shows I attended and never got around to writing about. Life has swept me away on a crazy journey of strugg...

Taste of Chaos (Little Rock Arkansas -- I know this is super late!!)

What can I say? I got busy in school with finals. But fortunately for your reading pleasure, I wrote my review in a notebook so all that it needed was typing up. So I take you back in time...to March ...

Taste of Chaos 2008 -- Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold is a band that must know by now that their fans eat out of the palm of their hands. They were the only band that didn’t have a side set playing, and because of that, showed a l...

Taste of Chaos 2008 -- part 1

Taste of Chaos...2008. I’d never been to the ToC tour, so I went this year -- and it was probably one of the most amazing shows I’ve seen in a while. The setting? Albany. In something that...

Amalgama - The Loft

It feels as though it's been forever since I've gone to the Loft. Walking the familiar alleyway where I'd spent many times idly talking to Duane who formerly fronted Effigy to the last time (which act...
