The Hump Night Thumpers

About Me

The Hump Night Thumpers is the stage name for the Jug Band Ensemble, a class at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. We meet weekly (on Wednesday nights, hence our name) to learn songs, build instruments, and study the history of the jug band genre. Each member of the band plays a variety of instruments, including guitar, ukulele, washtub bass, washboard, kazoo, spoons, and, of course, jugs of all shapes and sizes. You can visit our official website (humpnightthumpers.com) for more info, or the Old Town School website (oldtownschool.org) to join us.
