You are a Self-Discoverer
You're not religious, but you've created your own kind of spirituality.
Introspective and thoughtful, you tend to look inward for the divine.
You are distrusting of all forms of organized religion.
You especially dislike religious gurus and leaders, who you feel are charlatans.
What's Your Religious Philosophy?
I'm definitely interested in music; I like to play piano, sing & write songs. I enjoy pretty much anything that allows me the opportunity to be creative. I really like to knit & crochet - it's something I hope to teach Alisha & Haven one day. I love to get into a good book...I really love taking a nap on my couch under a snuggly blanket...I like to cook with the girls (cleaning up isn't as much fun)...but especially I just love to be around my family & friends. :-)
People who are creative, interesting, have a sense of humor & appreciate sarcasm. :-) I'd like to try to avoid judgmental, hypocritical people if possible. If you're completely desperate for attention or are just a jerkface in general, we probably wouldn't hit it off.
Some of my favorites right now are Finger Eleven, Sara Bareilles, John Mayer, Tori Amos, Alicia Keys, Nickel Creek, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, The Wreckers, Keith Urban...I love all kinds of music though so I listen to all sorts of different things depending on my mood.
I love movies so it's hard to narrow it down, but a few of my favorites (as in the ones I'll watch over & over) would be -
Vanilla Sky, Jerry Maguire (I don't even like Tom Cruise, but I love these movies), Amelie, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Sound of Music, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, When Harry Met Sally, Office Space, Death to Smoochy, Snatch, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (not the new one - I really like Johnny Depp, but that was just freakin' wierd), The Butterfly Effect, Forrest Gump, The Graduate, ...
Don't watch much really, nothing on a regular basis. I kind of hate reality shows. I especially hate "Deal or No Deal" because it really gets my blood pressure up - TAKE THE FREAKIN' DEAL YOU IDIOT! :-( I like to watch cheesy soap-operas during my lunch break (what could be farther from reality than a soap?), but I'm not so into them that I record them to watch later or anything. Other than that, the only tv shows I really enjoy are "Family Guy", "My Name is Earl" (the blonde chick on there is absolutely hilarious!) & "The Office", although I'd be lying if I said I watched them every time they're on.
I am a bit of a book collector - I always see things I want to read, so I buy books on a regular basis but may not get around to reading them till months later since I'm so backed up. It's been a while since I read it & I really should read it again, but a book that really made an impression on me and has affected me is "Walking on Water" by Madeleine L'Engle. I just finished "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert, a gift from Missy Fab, & I absolutely loved it, too.
My mom, Judi, for so many reasons. She is WONDERFUL & I can't think of a better compliment to me than for someone to tell me I remind them of my mother! :-)
