From the town of Luton, The Conflict Theory are a five-piece band that combine technical riffs with tuneful screaming and heartfelt singing to produce a sound past their years. Their songs are a result of neverending hard work and a love for heavy music merging into something quite unlike the other bands in their local area.
The first line up had two of the current members, Aaron Hardy and Rob Abbott, and Jamie Knight on drums. After deciding they needed a vocalist and bassist to complete their band, they recruited Paul Wood on vocals, and soon after Mike Dunne took bass duties. A constant search for self-improvement resulted in Jamie eventually leaving the band and being replaced with Alex Walker, a metal drummer, more in tune with the band's style. However, after a few fairly successful practices, it was again decided that the drummer would need to be replaced and former Alpha High drummer, an extremely enthusiastic Jerome Maree arrived.
After months of successful gigs, where they expanded their fanbase and honed their musical skills, Rob eventually decided to leave the band. TCT are currently looking for a new guitarist - message us if you are interested!
The Conflict Theory plan to start recording their demo and playing shows with their new line-up starting from March/April.
"This band could very well be the best thing to come out of Luton in a long long time..." - VB@H
