Citi Field scheduled to open on Opening Day 2009 will replace Shea Stadium as the home of the New York Mets. Citi Field will boast modern fan amenities and an exclusive baseball design, will draw fans closer to the game. Citi Field will have a traditional look with a rotunda (Jackie Robinson Rotunda) that will resemble Ebbets field. Citi field will be a classic pitcher friendly park much like Shea Stadium.
