Kurts Aunt Mari

About Me

Mari Earl is the aunt of Kurt Cobain, the late lead singer of the grunge rock band, Nirvana, who committed suicide in 1994. After her nephew..s untimely death and several Cobain-related suicide incidents Mari realized the need for a message of hope to be delivered to a hurting generation. A singer-songwriter and professional musician for twenty years she now devotes much of her time to bringing her message, called Life..It..s Worth It to thousands of jr. high and high school students each year. In 1998 Mari was invited to Sioux Falls, SD where teen suicide was so prevalent that one of the high schools had been nicknamed ..Suicide High... Her visit actually minimized the suicide rate. Her message has had a similar effect everywhere she has spoken. She has been featured in People Magazine, KING TV..s Evening Magazine, and interviewed for documentaries, books and magazine articles...
