About Me

“DREAM THAT DREAM” Nucci (pronounced Nuchee) Solazzo, got his first experience in the creative process in early grade school. He took art, drawing, and sculpture classes and realized he enjoyed the challenge that those classes afforded him. It wasn’t until high school that he refined his techniques in drawing and painting through his art teacher. She still remains influential in his life to this day. Throughout the years, he always kept close those things she taught him in the early art classes. The creative process took a different path in junior high and high school when he started performing on stage as a member of a four piece music group doing music of the 60’s and 70’s. Nucci mastered the bass and also became an “ace” in the studio. After school he played clubs in Europe and New York and then moved to Los Angeles. He has played in an assortment of bands covering styles as diverse as Rhythm and Blues, Alternative, Rock and Pop. By putting on full production shows of music, Nucci got immersed in sets, choreography, and staging . Today he also owns and operates his own recording facility. He ventured into the writing genre a few years back composing a children’s book called “The Adventures of Miss B.B.” On a plane flight to Switzerland, while celebrating the birth of his niece, Nucci wrote this Christmas story for all ages. There is art and music to accompany it. A year before 9-11, he was looking for a music sampler for the Studio. Nucci was convinced to purchase a computer instead. That computer became a tool that changed the course of Nucci’s art life. Nucci was in an environment that stimulated and inspired him to do his art. This was a new way to stimulate his creative juices. Since that time, the atrist has created hundreds of images. The images in Nucci’s work are rich with color and content. He uses special watercolor or bamboo papers to make his images vivid. The artist has always strived to insure that people are able to “Dream that Dream” through his artwork.
