I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

If you are reading this, the chances are that you already know about me. However, just in case you don’t here is the 411—I’m originally from a small town about an hour and a half northwest of NYC. From there, I went to college in upstate NY, before making my journey down to Washington, DC. I’ve been in DC for since 1999, and I love it! The rest is history in the making.

My Interests

Reading, hiking, dancing, exploring DC with Don, hanging out with friends, knitting, playing the piano (although I don’t do nearly enough of it!), going to live baseball games (Go Yankees!) and playing fantasy baseball, traveling (to anywhere really), politics, trying new restaurants…the list goes on and on…

Music:

U2! Is there anyone else? Ok, seriously, I like everything. Everytime you get into my car, there is something else playing— Aerosmith or Bon Jovi, Beethoven or Rachmaninoff, ‘NSYNC or Britney Spears (embarrassing, I know, but so fun to sing along to!), Brad Paisley or Kenny Chesney, Kanye West or Black Eyed Peas.

Movies:

I wouldn’t even know where to begin! Let’s just leave it at the idea that I know from first hand experience that the Netflix queue has a limit of 500 movies, and YTIC.com is the best source for free movie tickets in DC.

Television:

I watch very little TV, but have found myself sucked into Project Runway (although Season 3 has not been nearly as enjoyable). The justification, though, is that I balance it out with Inside the Actor’s Studio! And then there is Battlestar Galactica…

Books:

I love reading, so favorites are tough. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, The Scarlett Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Nectar in a Sieve by Kamala Markandaya, Voyage in the Dark by Jean Rhys, Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangaremba, and Margaret Truman’s mysteries.
