The Clixets

Formed in 2000 in Athens, Greece, Clixets started as a four piece alternative band. All members were schoolmates. On the first 5 months after their formation, 2 members of the band left, so Andy and George performed as a duet for almost two years. George was playing the drums over a piano played by Andy, who became the singer of the duo. Andy’s teacher Randal North who played the guitar, occasionally jammed with the band.
In 2002, Andy’s brother Paris joined the band and became the lead guitarist of the group. After Paris joined in, his schoolmate Nick became the rhythm guitarist of the group and Harris the bass player.On live shows, Dimitra supports the band by playing the synthesizer.
Since the beginning Andy is writing songs for the group. Lots of the songs are piano driven ballads that Paris adds a rock feeling to them with melodious solo parts and riffs. At the same time Clixets are doing covers of famous songs adding their feeling to them but always presuming their essence. Artists covered include David Bowie, George Michael, Queen, Manic Street Preachers, Radiohead and many more...
These days Clixets continue to write songs and perform live in order to promote their work to a wider audience and hopefully release it officially!
