About Me

Vorpmi grew from the depths of a small basement in the outskirts of Denver, Colorado. Much of the equipment used between the two members during the early years had been thrown together on a shoestring budget that comprised mainly of radio shack echo boxes and multiple dual cassette recorders. This duo was created out of sheer improvisational inspiration. Almost everything captured is in it's purest form and contains vast experimentation with the items used to create it. The sound is placed into this dimension as it was performed. This style of composition came into focus when Jeff Danos of Testube and Bryan Elsloo of In Virus Tandem formed Wrack Process and began exploring elements of experimentation through impromptu manipulation of their gear in early 1994. Much of the music/sonic textures that appear here have been performed recently although a few older tracks may be wandering about cyberspace looking for a home.
