The word "photography" comes from the French photographie which is based on the Greek words phos ("light"), and graphis ("stylus", "paintbrush") or graphê ("representation by means of lines" or "drawing"), together meaning "drawing with light."
My goal in photography is to not only record what is seen, but to create an artistic image that is better than what is seen with the naked eye. Truly, to draw with light, or to paint with light, by using the camera is the ultimate goal. I additionally strive to let the beauty of each subject that I photograph shine through. And, as Sophia Loren once said, "Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical." Getting personality into the photograph is what makes a beautiful photograph.
I have always enjoyed working with people and I have always had a creative drive. Before I even had a career, I was drawn to art, painting, drawing, and other methods of creative expression. It was my initial desire to attend art school rather than college, however, I ended up in college studying music. After changing majors three different times, I eventually graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. and an Ed.S. in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in the mental health field for 8 years and although that fulfills my drive to work with people, I felt the creative side calling me back and started Endless Memories, LLC in 2005. I then took classes in the subject of photography, attended workshops and seminars, and obtained professional equipment. I continue to expand my education and practice with every opportunity.

I am a cat person and have two beautiful purebred Siamese cats and one spunky, vengeful Himalayan/Siamese mix.
My favorite color is blue - the color of the sky, the ocean, and all things that bring a sense of calmness.
I have an extraordinary weakness for cheesecake and have been known to consume one all to myself.
My favorite movies of all time are The Princess Bride and Under the Tuscan Sun.
My favorite book of all time is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I cried. A movie could never do this book justice.
And, based on my favorite movies and favorite book...it is logical to conclude that I am a hopeless romantic.
I am goofy at times and have a crazy, off-the-wall sense of humor.
I forget how old I am and have to subtract the current year from my year of birth. No kidding.
