------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------- Ulli Martin, a good friend of the band met Gesang while travelling in indonesia and they became good friends. When Gesang left his island to emigrate to Germany (due to a girl), he found himself in Hildesheim, a city where Basti, another good friend from Ulli, was making his studies of cultural sciences. Basti and Gesang met during a ride from Hildesheim to Kaufbeuren, where Ulli and Basti came from. During that ride they talked about music, musicmaking and their own past, playing in different bands. At the end of that day they decided to make music together. After a few sessions they wanted to record their stuff on tape, and for the drum parts they asked Niels, another friend from Bavaria and also studying in Hildesheim, to join that project.
2005 they released a demo with eight tracks on it. Their homies liked it a lot, and so they decided to keep making music. After Gesang moved to Bielefeld, there was a break, but in the fall of 2006 they started once more and after a short while Tom, by accident also an universe-vulture (allgaeuer) from bavaria, joined in as master of basslines.
2007 the band begun to write new songs, actually gesang had every week an idea for a new song. By now Dr.Gigi is able to perform about 75 Minutes on stage.
July 2008 they finished recording a demo called "Songs from the seven hells": Eight powerful songs, demonstrating the wide range of musical influences. The band is not signed yet. So be first and earn money with, no, for us!
