About Me

Well, I just moved to Vancouver and I'm attending Vancouver Film School for their Classical Animation program. So far so good, I've walked through East Hastings and survived and actually the junkies there are fun to watch. Apparently film and animation = big bucks in Vancity, not like what they tell ya in conservo Edmonton. So the sky's the limit right now ... queue the music! errr .. how the heck do I put music on my page?

My Interests

Art, Movies, Short Films, Animation, Comics, Anime, Hockey.Hobbies: Drarwing, thinking up get-rich schemes, inventing incredible machines in my head.

I'd like to meet:

... people with incredible ambitions.

Music:

gah ... I'd rather not keep up with the music scene. My fickleness prevents me from being much of a fan to any band, and there's just so many. So I pick and choose the songs I like, Hurray for Mp3s. Some artists' works that I do have in abundance include, Dave Matthews Band, Jamiroquai, and Stars. I also have a thing for Japanese anime soundtracks. Who needs understandable lyrics when things just sound super cool.

Movies:

The best of my DVD collection: Batman, Rocky, Shindler's List, Chasing Amy, Saving Private Ryan, Spiderman 2, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ninja Scroll, Gladiator, Resevoir Dogs, Hero, Braveheart, Blade Runner, Animatrix, Princess Mononoke.

Television:

I like to surf with average intervals of 30 secs on each channel. The stuff I sometimes stay longer for are: Discovery Channel stuff, Futurama reruns, South Park reruns, The Daily Show, and TOUR OF DUTY! and the VENTURE BROTHERS!!. The only show that I actually wait for is new Law and Order SVUs. Otherwise I download my TV in the form of pirated anime.

Books:

The Catcher in the Rye, Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, Lone Wolf and Cub, The Life of Pi, Kingdom Come ... it's a short list and most are comic books, oh well. I gotta read more and get more brain wrinkles.

Heroes:

Heroes? ... There's no such thing as a hero anymore. Ali no longer boxes, Ghandi no longer protests, Guevara no longer fights, and the Tank Man was probably executed. Now, the media creates fake heroes with television shows and kills the real ones with their news stories. My generation has no heroes.
