Mr. Snider,Hope life is treating you well. In 2002 or 2003 I was introduced to your music. I was truly missing something from my life and my cousin Brian said hey, listen to this CD. The first time I heard "Waco Moon" on the New Connection CD I broke down and cried. The song described almost every emotion I was going through and more. The entire disc pretty much made me realized how much you write for regular people who go through every day issues and with your satirical approach also made me realize a lot of things are not really that big of a deal, ie: "Class of '85". I cannot tell you how many times I would just listen to your music for hours on end driving two, three four hours(at the time I traveled a lot) and just would sit back and reflect and then laugh, and then reflect. Your music alone got me through so many hard times, I owe you so many thanks beyond anything I could ever give you, your music got me through a very rough time in my life.About two and a half years ago I was at a bar and met my wife. . I pretty much knew she was the one. Anyways, the ironic part was about two days prior I really started getting into the song "All of My Life". It made the moment of meeting her even more surreal because as I was talking to her, that was all that was in my head. Well about four months later I proposed to her with that song playing in the background. It describes my exact ways of how much I love her. At our wedding we danced to "All of My Life". We had to, because I do love the oldies station, and she love magazines.Anyways, when we got married she was three months pregnant, and we have not been able to see your shows as a couple because most have been out of the range of parents with a new baby(who by the way has been listening to Todd Snider since we found out we were pregnant), When my mother let me know a couple weeks ago you were going to be at the "Old Town School of Folk Music", I immediately called Katherine of how excited I was and told how many tickets we were going to have to put on our credit card. I have never seen her so excited for me in my life, she knows what your music means to me and she knows how much I want to share it with her.I am sure that you get hundreds of requests for songs, and I am sure it's annoying to you when people scream out "Beer Run", but I am going to ask that if possible for you to play "All of My Life", for us, for you, for everybody who loves each other. And hey, if you mention to Katherine, from Josh, I would not complain either.Either way, you truly are an inspiration, for many reasons as you know, and if you cannot take request I truly understand, but I will be in the crowd, thankful that my life has let me see you again, and thankful your music has helped me get through life. I have about a thousand more things that I could say to you about your music, about your life being an inspiration, but I do not want to bore you Thank you for being a musician, thank you for helping me bond with my wife, my mother, my seventeen year old brother who is also going to be at the show, were here to see you.
