the 58s

The 58s began in December of 2006, with the objective of writing and recording music in a fresh setting each time they track. The group has sent tracks over the mail, a method that can be compared to the Postal Service, although not by style. Looking ahead to "the good, old days", music is getting good again. That's "good"-like music isn't anymore...but really it should be. Will Thrift and Jamey Moore, the 58s, really have it going. The 58's fuse a number of genres to create an open sound. Jamey, whose primary instrument is guitar, plays with influences ranging from Wes Montgomery and John Scofield to modern rockers such as Trey Anastasio and Stone Gossard. Moore's guitar also brings back memories of David Gilmour. With a list of playing styles in his background also, Thrift, plays rhythms any fan of rock, jazz, country and blues can enjoy. Drummer, Will Thrift, also takes on the tasks of mixing and engineering the 58s material. He does a great job, achieving mixes with great room sounds. Moore's lyircs on Cigars are Cash (When I feel blue) are genius, reminding a person, that the real changes in life are slow and subtle.
