The benefit concert LIFE ROCKS is dedicated to my Mother one who touched so many lives during her battle with cancer. This global concert will be held yearly in the month of October. LIFE ROCKS is my way of giving back as well as keeping my Mother's memory alive.
My Mother was a strong beautiful woman who lived her life to the fullest. When diagnosed with lung cancer she held her head up high and said she would live her life and beat the disease. In her own way she did. Throughout the two and a half years she lived after diagnosis like others she tried all available treatments even participated in drug studies. Whether or not they prolonged her life does not matter for she lived each day to the fullest. She lived to share life with her children as well as her grandchildren. Each day she and I talked about the gift each new day is. She had had many gifts her whole life (67years), looking at my children always reminded her children have just begun the journey of life and the daily gift. With this in mind she told me to help the children in hopes one day they will not have to suffer from cancer. LIFE ROCKS is keeping my mother's wish.I'm also committed to fighting this disease, so some day families will no longer have to endure losing their loved ones to cancer.
LIFE ROCKS concerts are for a Children's cancer fund. Set up in memory of Susanne Fant Hodges, my MumI am always looking for bands to take part in the event. I took a break and moved to Hawaii but I am back setting up shows. In the time away I have worked with many producers, bands and film.Currently have a documentary in Cannes to be shown at Film Festivalas well as will be filming another in June.
