I'm a Myspace newbie. That's me: always late with the trends. But it looks like a good place to connect with people and I'm always up for that.

Yes, although I've found myself in as unlikely a spot as the wedding industry, it's no stranger than the genetics or computer science fields I've explored as well. Besides, the wedding industry is a happy industry. Happy is good. But fiction is my ultimate career path; my first novel is in the works now and I'm looking forward to taking it to press.

My Interests

Writing...fiction (I'm a novelist at heart), but putting thoughts on paper period is something I've always enjoyed. Travel is my second love, though. I've been all over the states, to every country in Central America (my grandparents are from Guatemala), Mexico, parts of Europe, and I plan to set my feet on every spot on the globe before my time's up. The places you find, the history you experience, and the people you meet while traveling is amazing. I also love snowboarding, scuba diving, football, geeky computer and tech stuff, cooking, good wine, and good beer.

I'd like to meet:

You and all the other creative minds out there: writers, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs (in our manic insanity, I find we all feed well off of each other's energy and ideas). People who enjoy hanging out and having a good time (work hard, play hard, I say). I love to meet people in general....I'm very much a people person. It's incredible what stories you can uncover from the person standing next to you at the crosswalk.

Music:

House, hip-hop, jazz, old school, even Spanish rock. I can even get into classical, swing, big band...everything from Tupac to Mozart. I love music. It's life's soundtrack.

Movies:

I'm a big movie person, and my list of movies would be far too long to include here. But here's a sample (in no particular order) The Matrix, Office Space, Sideways, Friday, The Godfather, Somewhere in Time, Sixth Sense, Stir of Echoes, Goodfellas...

Books:
