Our music was created in a tiny, basement studio in rural Victoria; a landscape hot and dry in the summer, cold and grey in the winter – dominated by the forests of the Great Dividing Range to the east, which you can see from the doorway to the studio.
Recorded over several months between 06 and 07, we’re glad our CD is finally finished! But we enjoyed making this music and we hope it sounds like that. The songs – reflecting, perhaps, the environment we recorded them in – often deal with isolation of one sort or another. Our characters and their situations are sometimes in some transitional phase in their lives, where that can be an isolating experience; separation in a relationship, in prison and unable to go home, isolated in the desert on some kind of spiritual quest, isolation through the death of a lover, the list goes on.
