This Brazilian from São Paulo is a self-taught guitarist. Influenced by Ary Piassarollo, Pat Metheny, George Benson or Wes Montgomery, Sidney Rodrigues hes developped his own technique and a very personal style that make him an outstanding improviser and composer on classical or semi-acoustic guitar.
Already very recognized in Brazil, he moved to Paris in 2002 to pursue an european career: Festivals, jazz clubs, TV & radio shows, masterclasses in several european countries have invited Sidney Rodrigues since then.
Besides a solo career, Sidney also plays with well-known singers and musicians such as Marcia Maria, Bïa, Emilio Santiago, Jorge Pardo and Nicolas Stilo.
