About Me

The Purps are a hard rock band that plays high energy rock'n'roll. We have existed, in one form or another, for the last 3 years. Our influences include classic rock, blues, metal, punk, Latin, and of course the Seattle music scene of the 90's. We are of the philosophy that the complexity of a musical piece doesn't necessarily make it beautiful. We look at bands like AC/DC, Nirvana, KISS, and Alice In Chains and see their success and ability to please their audience and know that we aren't here to reinvent the wheel or come up with some symphony of a song that has 50 changes in it just to show off or try to impress someone. We are here to bring bone crushing rock'n'roll and riffs that kick your ass.
