Respecting Betty

About Me

Respecting Betty was a fine time for me. I remember playing the shows and making the cd and actually providing a pulse in the local music scene. I have been approached by several people over the years who did not know my name, but new I was in the band Respecting Betty. About a month ago I was talking to my cousin Trever and we were talking about the good ole days. I told I played a show with former Respecting Betty bassist Bob Rowe and drummer Brook Ellis and that were offered the chance to play at Ambrosini's on January 31st and asked if he would like to play. When asked by the bar what the name of the band was the decision was made to bring Respecting Betty back rather than make up another band name that would go under the radar. With myself (Eric Jackson), Trever Jackson, and Bob Rowe we had three members from the band. With new comer Brook Ellis on drums, a long time friend who we played shows with back in the day the band seem to fit very well. While J.T. Rowley will continue in spirit with Respecting Betty, and occassionally show up to jam, the band will try to come back for a while to see where it takes us. We also want to acknowledge everyone who has supported the band over the years to inspire us to give it another shot and give reconginition to former members Scott Taylor and Ian Daugherty. So come on out when you see the name and lets go back to a time when we were younger and life was simpler.
