About Me

Hmmm... By profession I am in mathematics. I am doing PhD. As a result of which I have to teach undergrads. My thought processes are dominated by the mathematical way of thinking
Apart from profession, there are innumerable passions in my life. I live in music. One of my greatest non-achievements ( I would not say failure ) is that I cannont sing. I have learnt to play ( little bit ) of Hindustani Classical on violin.
Tagore plays an influential role in my spiritualism. He was the first coloured person to win the nobel prize. And interestingly enough he got he prize for the most incompetent translation ( by himself ) of one of his not so good works. I do not believe in religions. And no I am not atheist.
I write poetries in my mother tongue. I do not find myself qualified enough to translate them into any other language. I love theatre. But it has been a few years since I last acted on a stage.
Politically, I still do not subscribe to any "---ism". But, at the same time I am a strong believer of non-violence ( and no, not gandhi-ism ). Violence only begets violence. I derive some inspiration from some vedic and buddhist ideology. "Be tolerant, appreciate tolerance and preach tolerance".
My latest interests include photography. I am trying to concentrate on portrait and low-light scenes.
