the swamp rebels formed in the winter of 2004, as a result of a great recording session at the "m&v studios" of norddeich, north-west germany. after that session, they decided to form a band, extending the good ol' country sound they like so much.

so they began to work out a program - including own songs as well as the great hymns of their well-known heroes. these heroes could not only be found in the wide field of the country & bluegrass music - the more rock'n'roll influenced sound, for example of the rolling stones, of bob dylan and ac/dc also found it's way into the programm of the rebels - played on acoustic instruments.
